10Edge of Tomorrow
Edge of Tomorrow is an action film released in 2014. The film was directed by Doug Liman and stars Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. The film is set in the future when Earth is invaded by alien creatures known as Mimics. Major William Cage (Tom Cruise), an officer with no combat experience, is suddenly placed in a combat unit and forced into a massive attack against the Mimics.
Cage is killed during the battle, but later awakens the morning before the attack occurs. He discovers that he is trapped in a time loop that keeps him experiencing the same day over and over again. Cage meets Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt), an extraordinary warrior who has experienced the same phenomenon before.
They work together to figure out how to defeat the Mimics and stop the invasion. Edge of Tomorrow is adapted from the Japanese novel entitled “All You Need Is Kill” by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. The film was originally released under the title Edge of Tomorrow, but later its official name was changed to “Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow” for its release on streaming services.
