The film The Shining is adapted from the classic horror novel by Stephen King with the same title. Although King was not completely satisfied with this film, The Shining is known as one of the best horror films of all time. The Shining follows the story of the Torrance family who accept jobs as guards at the remote Overlook Hotel. Jack Torrance hopes to get inspiration for his writing at the hotel.
