Star Wars: Andor Season 2 Cancel Release in 2024!

Disney and Lucasfilm appear to be delaying the release of Andor Season 2. Star Wars has been one of the main content items on Disney+ since the streaming service's launch in 2019, with The Mandalorian Season 1 released on Disney+ launch day. And now, Lucasfilm has officially announced the release schedule for various Star Wars projects for Disney+ in 2024, although no exact dates have been announced yet. The following are Star Wars projects that will be released in 2024.

– The Acolyte – set at the end of the High Republic Era. This show reveals how the Sith operate in the dark.

– Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3. This was the final season of the animated spinoff Clone Wars, continuing the adventures of Clone Force 99.

– Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. This show focuses on a group of children from an Earth-like planet in the Star Wars galaxy.

– Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi Season 2. This is the second season of the animated short Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi.

Unfortunately, this list also confirms that Andor Season 2 is delayed, possibly until 2025. Andor Season 1 received positive reviews and attracted the attention of many people. And although production on Andor Season 2 is almost complete, production was disrupted by the actor and writer strike that occurred in Hollywood. Even though there are only two weeks left for filming, it affects the release of Andor Season 2.

For geeks who don't know, Andor is a prequel series to the film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and focuses on the character Cassian Andor, played by Diego Luna. Cassian Andor is a Rebellion intelligence agent involved in a mission to steal the Death Star designs. The series is set five years before the events of “Rogue One,” exploring the life of Cassian Andor in an era of rebellion against the Galactic Empire.

Looking ahead after Andor Season 2, it is hoped that in 2025, we will also be treated to The Mandalorian Season 4. Although there are rumors about Ahsoka Season 2, there has been no official announcement yet. And it is possible that for years to come, we will only be presented with the Star Wars series, without being able to see the new films.
