10Zombieland
Zombieland was released in 2009, and was directed by Ruben Fleischer. The story follows four people trying to survive in a world destroyed by a zombie outbreak. The group consists of Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), a reckless college student; Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), a gruff man who likes guns; Wichita (Emma Stone), a quick-witted womanizer; and Little Rock (played by Abigail Breslin), Wichita’s younger sister.
The four of them travel together through the zombie-infested United States, in their attempt to find “Zombieland,” a place said to be free of zombies. During their journey, they face various challenges, meet various strange characters, and develop a strong bond. The film features a cameo by Bill Murray, in which he plays himself.
Zombieland received praise for successfully combining horror and comedy elements. And after the success of the first film, a sequel entitled Zombieland: Double Tap was released in 2019, reuniting the main cast from the first film. The sequel still tells the adventures of the same group, only with different intrigue.
