Initially, A Quiet Place: Day One was going to be released on March 31, 2023. However, due to delays in the film's production, the film had to be postponed several times, until finally Paramount plans to release this horror film on June 28, 2024. It should be noted, this is not a sequel from the two previous films, but instead becomes a prequel that tells the story of the beginning of the alien invasion on Earth.
The film will also tell the story of new survivors, where they have to adapt to their lives when this alien who has sharp hearing appears. They have to live without sound, and communicate using sign language. So far, it is certain that the old cast from A Quiet Place will not return in this film. The film actually features a new cast, such as Lupita Nyong'o, Djimon Hounsou, and Alex Wolff.
This film was originally going to be directed by Jeff Nichols, before he finally withdrew due to creative differences. That's why the film was taken over by Michael Sarnoski, who is now appointed as director, with a script written by John Krasinski and Scott Beck. Even though he no longer stars in this film, John Krasinski is still involved behind the scenes.
