Sequel is a term used to refer to a film that is a continuation of the previous film. Sequel films can tell the story of the same characters, but with continued story development. The main goal of a sequel film is to expand the previously established world of the film, giving audiences the opportunity to see more of familiar characters, conflicts, or story arcs. 10Jaws: The Revenge
Jaws: The Revenge tells the story of Ellen Brody (Lorraine Gary), the wife of the deceased Martin Brody. After her younger son, Sean, is killed in a shark attack, Ellen believes that her family is being chased by killer sharks who have a personal vendetta. Ellen decides to move to the Bahamas to live with her older son, Michael (Lance Guest), and his family.
There, they are again haunted by the seemingly unstoppable threat of killer sharks. Ellen then developed the belief that the shark was the same shark that had attacked her family previously and that the shark had personal motivations for killing them. In an effort to protect her family, Ellen teams up with a marine biologist, Hoagie (Michael Caine), and decides to confront the shark head-on.
The film received extremely negative criticism from critics and audiences. In fact, several actors involved in this film stated that they did not like the final result. The worst factor about this film is the story it presents, which is of course far from the first film which was a huge success.
