The character who has the potential to become the first secret member of SWORD is Monkey D Garp. Geeks are certainly familiar with the speculation that has emerged among fans regarding Garp and SWORD. Monkey D Garp is a marine who has tremendous power in the One Piece story. As Gol D Roger’s rival, Garp managed to become one of the strongest in the series.
Garp was also the marine who managed to defeat Rocks D Xebec in the God Valley event 38 years ago. Even though Garp was part of the navy, he never agreed with most of the navy. An example is how the navy becomes a tool for the sky dragons and the World Government. He also disagrees with the philosophy of absolute justice.
Many fans then suspected that Garp was a secret member of SWORD. Because, joining SWORD might be a way for Garp to “fight” them. In fact, in several speculations or theories that have emerged among fans, it is stated that Garp is the real leader or founder of SWORD.
